We currently offer English, maths and science tutoring for all year levels 10 and under. We offer VCE tutoring for all 3 English subjects, all levels of maths, sciences, commerce, health and PE. If you’re unsure whether we cover a subject, feel free to get in touch.

Yes. All of our tutors scored highly in the subjects they tutor. As a result, tutoring lessons are aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and current VCAA VCE study designs, including SAC and exam preparation.

Before tutoring begins, Byron will have an initial phone call with parents to understand your child’s year level, strengths, challenges, and goals. With over 3 years of tutoring experience and more than 2,000 hours working with school students, Byron is able to quickly identify what approach will work best for your child, regardless of their year level or ability. Lessons are then tailored to suit your child’s needs and adjusted as they progress.

Yes. We help students understand their homework, prepare for SACs, and revise content covered at school. We also help with developing effective study strategies and a “plan of attack” when approaching SACs.

Absolutely. For VCE students, we focus on exam technique, past exam questions, common mistakes, and time management in addition to content revision. Our VCE tutors are recent high achievers in their respective subjects, so know all the tips and tricks for success.

Yes. Online tutoring is available via Zoom/Teams and includes shared whiteboards, screen sharing, and digital resources.

Yes. We offer discounted rates for regular weekly sessions and siblings - please enquire for details.

You will be invoiced in 4 week blocks. Payments are made via bank transfer and are due before the first session being paid for.

Most high school students benefit the most from one session per week, though this can increase during SAC or exam periods.

Yes. We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations to avoid being charged. However for unavoidable last minute cancellations we will always try our best to reschedule sessions pending tutor and student availability.

Yes. Holiday sessions and exam preparation programs are available. These are invoiced individually or in small groups if multiple sessions are arranged at a time.

Yes. All tutors hold a valid Victorian Working With Children Check.

Every student is different, but many notice improved confidence and understanding within a few weeks of consistent tutoring. If there is no noticeable improvement after a few weeks, we will work with you to shift our tutoring approach to better suit your child.
